Our client, a prestigious bank is looking for a Head of Treasury to join their expanding team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate, who reports to the General Manager of Treasury and International Banking has to market and sell Treasury & Capital Markets products as well as formulate business plans to enhance the bank's position and increase market share.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare hedging strategies to enable the bank to hedge its interest rate risk at any time should market conditions warrant.
• Achieve financial objectives set in the annual budget ensuring a continuous diversification of earnings through managing the portfolio of business.
• Formulate the business plan and implement the objectives established for the treasury division within the approved strategic plan for the bank.
• Establish product and instrument operating relationships with professional counterparties to enable the portfolio to be adequately invested and hedged safely.
• Develop an incremental range of products and services for the group in order to enhance the earnings stream and institute comprehensive marketing programs to increase client's business.
