The primary responsibilities of the role include:
1) Opens restaurant micros in proper time.
2) Starts all the credit card machine with zero balance
3) Controls the hard checks by serial Numbers
4) Once guest come, opens the check same time and after payment closed it immediately.
5) After shift takes report with micros and from credit machine make sure that both are ok but if there is any mistake corrects it and drops all the checks with reports for night auditor
6) Makes drop of cash per shift
7) Checks guest name and room number before posting any room charge and make room charge summary.
8) Takes void report from micros make summary take signature from the manager and chef with proper reason
9) Checks all kinds of vouchers before posting
10) All city ledgers should be with proper back ups
11) Any discrepancy in micros report immediately to day or income auditor.
12) Always uses own micros card and keep in confidential and safe.
13) Takes care of Micros, Credit card machine, and printer if any thing is out of order report immediately.
14) Hands over Tips to staff after the shift with proper reconciliation and takes receiving signature on tips form.
