COWI Bahrain is looking for a talented Financial Manager to be employed with immediate effect in our office in Bahrain.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial support to management and preparing and maintaining proper financial information of the company in compliance with both local regulations and COWI Group practice. The Finance Manager will report to the Managing Director as well as to the Group Finance Function.
It is required that the Finance Manager apart from financial management will also take care of the day to day book keeping of the company.
Job tasks:
• Book keeping
• Interaction with Project Managers and ensure that Work In Progress reflects the stage of completion of the project portfolio
• Prepare financial reporting packages to Corporate Finance
• Ensuring that costs are correctly allocated on the projects
• Reconcile accounts receivables/payables monthly
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Reconcile all other assets and liabilities monthly
• Prepare VAT and income tax statements to authorities
• Prepare invoices in close dialogue with PM and follow up on payments
• Prepare and reconcile salaries
• Prepare internal accounts and discuss with Management
• Prepare for and assist with Annual Audit
• Submit annual financial information to local authorities
• Prepare CMR report on monthly basis
Qualifications required:
• Experience from similar position is considered an asset
• Higher degree in accounting (preferably Bachelor level)
• Strong knowledge of local accounting practice and legislation
• Hands on experience in closing accounts and reporting results (minimum 5 years)
• Highly experienced user of Excel
• Fluent in English (business level) both oral and in writing
• High business integrity
